Graduating from UWC is just the beginning of a lifelong journey.

UWC students leave with more than lasting friendships and an education – they graduate with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, a globally recognised qualification that opens doors to top universities around the world. Many UWC graduates also receive university scholarships, including those offered through partnerships with leading institutions that value the UWC experience.

More than 50 outstanding Saharawi students have so far studied at UWC schools in Costa Rica, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway and Wales. Most have been offered full scholarships to continue their higher education in the United States. Our alumni are agents of change in the Saharawi community and around the world.

While at university, they have spoken before the UN General Assembly, Fourth Committee and Human Rights Council as well as the European Union Commission. Organised and participated in events such as lectures, workshops, festivals and demonstrations to raise awareness about Western Sahara. They have done this in the USA, China, Spain, The Netherlands, Germany, Cuba, Algeria, and more.

Across every field and region, UWC alumni continue to create positive change in their communities and beyond – showing that the UWC journey doesn’t end at graduation, it is only just beginning.
